Each place where I have lived and traveled possesses a distinctive spirit - connected to culture, society and place in time. I am fascinated with these many influences. I'm fascinated with place. My paintings are where these influences play out. My work is created using acrylic paint, spray paint, pencil, pastel, photographic transfers and other things. Salt Lake is home again but my heart is still in LA. I've also lived in the Midwest, Siberia and Italy.

I really like these sketches. I like how simple they are and how you have used contour lines to show 3-dimensional areas.
