nh in la
Each place where I have lived and traveled possesses a distinctive spirit - connected to culture, society and place in time. I am fascinated with these many influences. I'm fascinated with place. My paintings are where these influences play out. My work is created using acrylic paint, spray paint, pencil, pastel, photographic transfers and other things. Salt Lake is home again but my heart is still in LA. I've also lived in the Midwest, Siberia and Italy.

Baby Alphabets
Two paintings for friends with kids. One friend in LA, and the other in Texas. These are probably not going to be very helpful as an alphabet learning tool are they?
Pasadena Showcase House Panoramic
L2 Interior's designed Pasadena Showcase House bedroom suite. I had 7 paintings in the suite. Thanks Stephanie!
Hexagons
This painting was also done to go in the Pasadena house. The hexagons and boxes are an extension of the designers concept.
Blue Stripes 1,2, and 3
Paintings done for L2 Interiors http://l2interiors.com/ as part of their interior design at the Pasadena Showcase House. These are meant to be hung side by side, not stacked as seen here.

Off to the Dacha
The Catalina photo is an old semi trailer in Long Beach at the Port of LA. The little boat was there too. I found the red tiles at the entry to Cliftons Cafeteria on Broadway.

The Yards
Kacey and I have been working on a bunch of collaboration pieces. This is one of those pieces. Kacey started this one, handed it off to me and I finished it. So far it's been a pretty simple method; one of us starts the piece by setting the direction as far as subject, colors, and mediums etc. We set a "swap" date, trade pieces and finish the one the other started.

LA ArtWalk
We had 3-400 hundred show up for the 'Relatively Spacial' show at the LA Artwalk. I had a few pieces exhibited - they were supposed to be on the theme of space and time. The following Tuesday I was invited to come back to the gallery and have a discussion with the other artists about the work and how it relates to the theme of space and time.......or something like that.
